Alison Joyce (better known as up and coming author A J Dormaar) is a self confessed bookworm, academic, movie buff, travel fanatic (if she can get the chance) and unconventional thinker. She has three published books currently under contract with Solstice Publishing in the USA and is currently working on a fourth. Many genres are explored in her work as she does not wish to become embedded in any particular stereotype and combines a love of history with great storytelling in her work. Favourite authors include Bernard Cornwell, Conn Iggulden, Manda Scott, Matthew Reilly and Philippa Gregory, but that list is by no means exhaustive. If it catches her fancy, she’ll read it with an open mind! Her mission – to inspire, entertain and maybe broaden the horizons of everyone out there through good writing, humour and own own unique personality.
